We got the new Croatian champion!
After 2 months of touring all over Adriatic, City Games got their new Croatian champion, team that will represent Croatia in the international final in Biograd na Moru. Our seventh season was won by Daj Mare team from Krk, who enjoyed lot of support from local crowd and fans on riva in Malinska, the host of this year’s final. Fun fact: Malinska was also the host of first ever City Games event, back in 2010.
Six best Croatian teams competed yesterday in flying water polo, water alka, tourist rescuing, prosciutto, water basket and paddle. They all gave their best and proved they deserved to be in the final. Competition was more than strong, but Daj Mare managed to snatch gold and dethrone Paške Podlanice, last year’s winners who came second this time. But, next year they are back to reclaim the first place!
After six years of participating in the games, Cesarica team from Karlobag got to the final and ended up third-placed. Well done! A lot of good spirit, but bit less lucky were Velika Riva Doli, Šubićevac and Vir.
We’re now traveling to Slovenia and first Slovenian semi-final: Ajdovščina, here we come!
